Privacy Policy

Last updated November 6, 2026

This policy explains how Real Estate Press, LLC, the company behind HousingAlerts.com ("HousingAlerts", "we", "us"), collects, uses and protects information about you when you use our website, tools, emails, text messages and support (the "Services"). It is part of our Terms of Service. Your privacy is very important to us: we do not sell your personal information.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

When you create an account, buy a membership, sign up for a webinar or download, answer a survey, or contact us, we collect what you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, postal code or address, company, the markets you follow, and your account preferences. If you write to us by email, chat or phone, we keep the conversation (for example chat transcripts and the reason for your call) together with your contact details and our replies. Calls with our AI voice assistant (see Terms of Service) are transcribed: we keep the written transcript and a summary of the call, not an audio recording. The voice and telephone providers that carry these calls process the conversation for us and keep its text for a limited time (currently 30 days).

Payments are handled by our payment processors (Stripe for cards, PayPal for PayPal payments). They receive your card or PayPal details directly; we never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your purchases, plan and billing status.

Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, our web servers and cookies record information about your visit and device: your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, the pages you view, the date and time and length of your visit, the page that referred you, and how you use our tools (for example the markets and reports you open and your logins). This also includes information about the ads you saw or clicked to reach us.

2. How we use it

  • to provide the Services: create and run your account, deliver reports, alerts and tools, and process your orders and payments;
  • to provide customer service and answer your questions;
  • to send you account and service messages, and, where allowed, newsletters, market updates, event reminders and offers we think may interest you (you can opt out at any time, see your choices);
  • to understand how the Services are used, fix problems and improve our products and content;
  • to measure and improve our advertising;
  • to protect the Services, detect fraud and unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or otherwise cause damage, and comply with the law.

3. When we share it

We will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to third parties. We share it only:

  • with service providers that work for us, such as payment processors, hosting, email and text message delivery, customer relationship and support systems, and analytics, and only as needed for them to provide their service to us;
  • when required by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public;
  • with a successor, if our business or its assets are transferred;
  • with your permission.

Mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4. Cookies and advertising

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, count visits and see which pages are useful, and measure our advertising. A cookie does not give us access to your computer or to any information about you other than what you choose to share with us.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the Services are used, and Google Ads, including remarketing, which lets Google show our ads on other websites to people who visited ours. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to our website; any data collected is used in line with this policy and Google's privacy policy.

Your choices:

  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, some parts of the Services (such as logging in) may not work.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
  • Opt out of personalized Google ads in Google's Ad Settings.
  • Opt out of interest-based advertising by participating companies at the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page and the Digital Advertising Alliance's consumer choice page.

Opt-outs apply only to the browser or device where you set them; if you delete your cookies, change browsers or use another device, you need to opt out again. We make no representations regarding the effectiveness of these third-party tools.

5. Text messages (SMS/MMS)

By opting in to or participating in our text message programs, you accept and agree to these Mobile Messaging Terms and this Privacy Policy. We use text messages to send you notices, based on your account preferences or requests, about your account, your purchases, our system updates, our data releases, articles of interest, event reminders and special offers. Message frequency varies.

You can cancel text messages at any time: text STOP to the number that messaged you. We will confirm your unsubscribe by text, and after that you will no longer receive text messages from us. To rejoin, sign up as you did initially. For help, reply HELP, or contact us at support@HousingAlerts.com or (800) 210-0667.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message and data rates may apply to messages we send you and you send us. For questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.

6. Email

Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link. Account and purchase emails (such as receipts and password resets) are sent as long as you have an account. Email is not a secure medium: please do not send us card numbers or other sensitive information by email.

7. Security and retention

We protect your information with physical, electronic and managerial safeguards suitable to it, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted access and regular backups. No system is completely secure, but we work to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.

We keep personal information while your account is active and afterwards for as long as we need it for the purposes above, such as billing records, tax and legal obligations and resolving disputes, and then delete it.

8. Your choices and rights

  • Marketing. Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any email, text STOP to stop text messages, or ask us at support@HousingAlerts.com. If you previously agreed to direct marketing, you may change your mind at any time.
  • Access and correction. You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, free of charge, and ask us to correct anything incorrect or incomplete. We will promptly correct information found to be incorrect.
  • Deletion. You may ask us to delete your personal information: email support@HousingAlerts.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and tell us which data you would like deleted. We will review the request and confirm by email, and delete the data within 14 calendar days of that confirmation, except records we must keep by law (such as payment records).

To protect your account, we will verify your identity before acting on a request, for example by replying to the email address on your account. If you live in a place whose privacy laws give you additional rights, contact us and we will honor them as required.

9. Children

The Services are not intended for children. Minors under the age of 13 may not submit any personal information to us. If you are a minor, use the Services only with the permission and guidance of a parent or guardian.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows the last change. For material changes we will give prominent notice in advance, for example on the Services or by email, so you can review them and decide whether to keep using the Services. We will not use personal information you have already given us in a manner materially inconsistent with this policy without your consent.
