Customizing your Affiliate link

If you notice, the link is long, unattractive and hard to remember. There are easy ways to ‘clean it up’ so you could put it on business cards, flyers, emails, ads, etc.

One way is to use those free and/or cheap services to shorten or ‘cloak’ links, like:

http://bit.ly

https://tinyurl.com/

In my opinion, those are still unattractive and don’t convey any message.

The ‘best’ solution is to get your own domain (for around $8/yr at godaddy.com or other registrars) and just use that to redirect your affiliate link.

For example, the first step is to get a domain name (URL) like www.MyOwnDomainName.com or www.TheBestRealEstateMarketTimingSystem.com (not even sure if it’s available – but the idea is to send a message in the link itself).

Then, copy & paste your affiliate link into the ‘forwarding’ tool/app at the same registrar. You cannot use ‘Masking’ as it will not record your leads.

Once you have your own domain redirect, then you’re ready to promote your link.
